Australia's Biggest Morning Tea
Everyone knows someone affected by cancer, currently there are more than 1.1 million Australians who are either living with cancer or who have survived a diagnosis. The Cancer Council are Australia’s leading cancer charity, uniting the community, creating hope, providing support and saving lives. Whether it’s helping people today, or being there for those who’ll need them tomorrow, they work across every aspect of cancer and rely on the generosity of community donations to fund their work and help them achieve a cancer free future.
Our morning tea was a great success, everyone donated above and beyond what we expected and we managed to surpass our fundraising goal! We are proud to support such a worthy charity and hope our donation helps the Cancer Council continue their amazing work.
National Bandanna Day
National Bandanna Day is CanTeen’s largest fundraiser and aims to raise $1.25 million in 2016 to support young people living with cancer. Every year, another 23,000 young people (63 a day) have to deal with the challenge of cancer. Every dollar raised will help CanTeen provide both practical and emotional support for young people through online support, counselling, information and resources, individual support and peer support programs.
CSE Tetracom threw its support behind CanTeen and hosted a Bandanna Day lunch to raise funds. As always, staff were more than generous and donated above and beyond allowing us to smash our fundraising goal. We are happy and proud to support such a worthy charity and hope that we have at least made a difference in the life of one young person living with cancer.
Jeans for Genes Day
On Friday August 5, we participated in Jeans for Genes Day! It was great to be able to wear jeans to work and enjoy a pizza lunch for an extremely worthy cause.
Jeans for Genes Day is a national event aimed at supporting the work of Children's Medical Research Institute who tirelessly research into genetic defects and childhood diseases in order to give kids around the world a better chance of a healthy, happy future. It’s never too late to donate or get involved – head to https://www.jeansforgenes.org.au/.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is a chance to get together and raise money for a worthy cause. 1 in 2 Australian men and 1 in 3 Australian women will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85 and the money raised will go to much needed cancer research, prevention programs and support services. We threw our support behind the Cancer Council and held our own Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to help raise vital funds.
Our Morning Tea provided a great opportunity to take a break and enjoy some sweets with colleagues. Staff were extremely generous and helped us achieve our fundraising goal! We are happy and proud to have supported such a worthy cause and with the delicious spread of sweets and treats – there were definitely no complaints!
CSE Tetracom’s Clown Doctor Morning Tea
As a company we like to support charities that provide amazing services to people in need, so when deciding on a charity to get behind we chose to support the Humour Foundation Clown Doctors and host a morning tea to raise money. It was great to see everyone get behind this worthy cause and as always it was nice to take a break and enjoy some sweet treats!
We hope our donations can help the Humour Foundation strive to achieve their goal of operating Clown Doctors in all major children’s hospitals around Australia. If you want to get behind this charity and help bring laughter to children in hospital you can donate through their website.
CSE Tetracom’s Pink Ribbon Morning Tea
We hosted a Pink Ribbon Morning Tea to help raise funds for vital life-changing breast cancer research. 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime and it was predicted that 15,600 women would be affected in 2015, we must stand together to find a cure. Every cent raised is allocated to research right across the spectrum – from understanding the fundamental basis of the disease, to psychosocial research aimed at improving the quality of life for survivors. With more funding, researchers can break new ground on better methods of detection, more personalised treatments with fewer side effects and strategies to prevent the disease.
As always we enjoyed some sweet treats on a Monday morning while supporting a worthy cause and are proud to help the National Breast Cancer Foundation strive to achieve zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
CSE Tetracom's National Cupcake Day
This morning we held a National Cupcake Day to help raise money for the RSPCA so they can continue to fight animal cruelty. We had a great turn out and as always there were no complaints with all the sweet cakes available!
Thank you RSPCA for creating an event that is worthwhile and enjoyable to be a part of. We’re not going to complain about taking a break to enjoy cake on a Monday morning!

RSPCA National Cupcake Day
Our very first charity event at CSE Tetracom was our very own National Cupcake Day to raise funds for the RSPCA! Whilst the event was met with some hesitation as this was new territory, our staff were never going to turn down an opportunity to enjoy some deliciously baked cakes whilst supporting a wonderful cause.
It was good to see everyone get behind the day and we hope we helped the RSPCA in its mission to put a stop to animal cruelty.
